It's March holidays already and I'm in the midst of lapping up all the comfort and leisure before it's snatched away from me.Went to Marina Square with brother to watch The Spiderwick Chronicles.It's a sneak preview.In case you don't know,it's free seating[since it's free tickets]so it is a dismay that I've arrived late yesterday.I found my brother waiting outside for me and it is indeed uncomfortable to endure the accusing stares and dagger-like expressions my brother was giving me.I don't enjoy it at all.No no.
Anyway,I'm glad that we still managed to grab seats that was a comfortable range away from the screen.Though it wasn't that far away as I hoped,just 3 rows away,it's still better than nothing.At the very least,it's definitely better than last year-the time when we went and watched Just Follow Law.Guess what?We are in row number 2 and we've to do a lot of neck-craning the whole time.Hate that experience and don't relish doing a Just Follow Law Nightmare No.2.Unless you want to-then I've nothing more to say or do.
Here's more substance about the entire movie.It's about a divorced mother and her 3 children-Mallory,Simon and Jared who was going to live in a house given to them by their crazy aunt Lucinda[?]The 3 children happened to chance upon a book that contained all the secrets-deep dark secrets of the magical creatures.The common enemy-the ogre,trogs-subordinates etc.
Typical ending.Reckoned it's okay.Not too good nor is it too bad.Just fine.
Some off-scene tidbits.The protagonist,Jared,is 16 years old.However,he acted a 8 year old kid.Next thing:he acted 2 roles-both Simon and Jared.End off movie review.Bye.
